Medieval Lunch - Medieval Embroidery Mini-Workshop, 3/16 |
Curious about kloster stitch? Pining for pearl embroidery? Join us at Medieval Lunch, 12:00 pm on March 16th! Conducted by Medieval Studies PhD candidate Kristen Herdman, this workshop is designed to discuss major styles of medieval embroidery, German and English in particular, and to review material, terms, and techniques. Historical examples will range from wearables to the manuscript mending. The latter half of the workshop will be focused on stitching technique in particular, using modern samples and live demonstrations over zoom. |
